My son, in Division 259, called me a little after 1500 EDT today with the "official" call. I am one very happy, and very, very proud Dad!!! Can't wait till this Friday!

I have a question. My son's PIR would've been last Wednesday, but was placed into limbo (FIT) a week before that. When he DOES pass PTA and BST21 is he able to make the "I am a sailor" call before being flown to A school?

Just got off the phone with mine with the same good news. Sounded very tired but happy. Plus he made E-2 at some point. Looking forward to flying up there with one of my other sons for graduation this Friday.
He told me he had been up for over 36 hours, including watch duty prior to BS21, had gotten soaking wet and was very tired...but, he also said he didn't care because it was all worth it and he was very happy.
