For those attending PIR, you can stay at the Navy Lodge. Great Lakes is the only NL that allows families to stay without the service member being present. The room rate for 2 queen beds, microwave and fridge is $65/night with no tax!
You have to explain to the reservations person that you have a a kid graduating and they will need their pay rate (E1,2 or 3).
You need to be a member of Navy Dads to add comments!
hello does anyone know if i can stay at navy lodge without having my sailor present..im going back to visit him again in a month and his pir was just this weekend??
dan, when i made reservations she was aware my son was in boot camp, i sure hope i can get there if its on base. Maybe someone else can chime in if they know. My oldest is stationed at Camp Lejeune and when we have taken him back from liberty he has to be with us for us to get on base so im not sure.
I believe you get on with your gate pass you download.
From all that my wife learned on N4Ms, its nice, clean and convenient. They give you a card that allows you to shop in the Navy Exchange just up the road.
marty - is this ON post? how will you get on post? I was going to try it also, however, i know that the base security is on "heightened level" and my only military ID I have anymore is my VA card...
