Trying to get ship/div from recruiter but no luck so far.

Can't wait to hear from her!!

I've created a group on Navy for Moms called Ship11, DIV 059 PIR 2/4/11. I'm hoping this makes it a little easier to find each other. Yes I heard some of the boys are acting up. In the form letter I received he was not too happy and mentioned it in his note. Imagine...I haven't heard from my son since he left on 11/29!! And that was only by Gods grace. I couldn't take the anxiety anymore and called the airport to see if their plane had landed and when I told the woman his name and she told me he was not there or that his plane had not landed yet, I heard someone say in the background "that's me!" lol So I did get a 30 second call. Good thing, because the phone cards I sent with him were not activated as they should have been when I purchased them and he was not able to call me that night! Since I have sent new phone card information which I verified that they are activated this time. I'm more than eager to hear from him! I only wish I knew someone in there who has been able to call home who actually knows him.

My daughter mentioned in her last letter they had been waiting and that some of the recruits were causing problems. Just our luck!

I was just on Navy for Moms and her daughter told her they were waiting for some girls to join their division which puts them into a 2 week delay. Also some of the boys have been acting up. Talking back and such. I hope they get it together!! Her daughter wrote that they may be able to call home on Wednesday or Thursday! So stay by your phone!

Welcome to the family Randall. I remember those days well when my son went through Great Lakes. Have patience and show her all the love and support you can, she will need it in the beginning more then you know. Best to you and your family.
