Looks like there are a number of Sailor Recruits currently on NavyDads.com going to PIR on 3 December. I know there are others, I just haven't found them all on NavyDads yet... Only want to wish all the SRs God speed and congratulations on serving our nation in a time of need. Keep safe! and we'll be praying for you and your families daily. GO NAVY!

Joe... Congratulations to your son! I'm so happy for all of them... Wife and I plan on doing the meet and greet tomorrow night but we don't get into Chicago until late afternoon and have to check into our hotel...but we're going to try... Son said they've been up for about 72 hrs now and they won't get any sack time until later this p.m.... I feel for them but the worse is over and the feeling of relief as parents that it is almost over don't even stack up to the relief they must be feeling now... I'm proud of all of them!
FYI-It is going to be cold here this weekend. Looks like in the low 30's during the day and teens at night. The air and wind have been really crisp. Bring a warm coat as the base is large and a lot of open space so any wind will make walking not very pleasant.
No call yet. May not sleep well tonight. On second thought, I will probably sleep well but he wont be. Blue candle has been burning all night as well as praying for everyone in the division!

No call yet. My son told us last week that BS's was supposed to be Monday. I thought a call last night would come, but nothing yet. I'm a little nervous waiting...
