My son, B, is a Search and Rescue Swimmer candidate. He shipped out of Pittsburgh on November 3, 2010. Any other Spec Ops parents out there with a SR in Ship 04 Div 802? Finally got his letter today!

Bill, my son is a Navy Diver candidate w.a PIR of 5/06.Any idea whats ahead for him after Boot Camp?Thanks, Dennis

Thanks, William! Congratulations to your son as well. My son was originally contracted for Sub school but decided to train for a SAR contract. Best of luck to your son!

Congratulations to your son, Doug. That is a demanding job for sure. My nephew is a helicopter Rescue Swimmer in the Coast Guard, and my son will be shipping out to RTC in less than 4 weeks as a nuke candidate.
