My son also graduates on the 27th, but he is ship 04 div 803. Looking forward to it, only 16 days left. Are y'all going to Sarges meet and greet?
Hey, Andy! We heard from our son on Saturday as well. Pretty much the same conversation it sounds like you had. Food's good, uniform's not a big deal, getting used to the haircut, etc. He did say at one point he wished he was home. I've been telling him, leading up to boot camp and on Saturday, that 50,000 people a year go through it so he's no different, which means if they can get through it, he can. And I did. I've also told him to keep his head up, and that we're behind him and know he can succeed. We're planning on coming up for PIR as well. It was just really good to finally hear from him this weekend!
Hello Daniel, My son Ryan March is in ship 11, Div 026. We just heard from him by phone on Saturday the 19th. He said he liked the food, was making freinds, but did not like boot camp. Which at this point is expected. He was able to make 20 minutes of phone calls that day and also called both sets of grandparents. My wife, daughter and I are coming out for PIR on Nov. 27th. from California.
