Ship 11 Div 109

I just received the form letter from my SR with his address and PIR date, 06 April. I was elated and called the family phone chain to share my joy and all the details. Anyone else with an SR in this Division, please join in the discussion. It would be an honor to meet you at PIR!

  • If I understand the rules correctly, he should be able to attend with the proper ID showing his retired status.  I believe that he will still need to be put on the guest list, but will not count as one of the 4 allowed.

I'd get clarity on this ASAP and make sure that your SR knows to add him on the list when the time comes.  As I understand it, the only people that can fill out the guest list are the SRs themselves.

One question I have that hopefully our site admins can answer: The 4 permitted guests are listed for PIR, however my parents would like to attend as well. My father is a retired Commander USN and would love nothing more than to bust his buttons at PIR for his grandson. Is there any flexibility with adding more family members? If so, how do we do this? Thanks for any advice.

  • Becky....See the information posted in the PIR Group....sounds like your Father can get in with no problem as long as he has the proper I.D.
