Bootcamp is the easy part....it is the up and down world of being in the fleet that challenges most sailors....the split between sea duty and shore duty and the sometimes mundane nature of deployments is what gets a lot of sailors down....particularly those first weeks of "cranking" in the scullery! There are good commands and bad commands as well, and sometimes it's the luck of the draw that sets the tone for the next few years....be positive and supportive and that will do a lot to help!!!
Hi Andrew, my son Chris will be in the nuclear power program. He said he would like to make a career of the Navy, but that was before boot camp. We'll see how much he likes it after he has been in a few years. Keep us updated on yours son's progress.
Good to hear. They still have a long row to hoe. Hopefully he will get our return letters soon. Good luck to your son Chris. Drew hopes to go HM in the Reserves I think. How about ya'll?

Hi Andrew, I just got our form letter from my son Chris. He is also in Ship 11 Div. 352. He stated they have not done anything too exciting yet, just alot of folding and labeling stuff. He said the letter was filled out on Monday and he would write more on Sunday. I look forward to reading my son's letters and hoping to hear from others in Ship 11 Div. 352.

Has any one received a letter or phone call from their SR in Ship 11 Div. 352?
