    Don't be so hard on yourself. My son called today to and I was lucky enough to catch it. It was very emotional with tears on both sides of the line. I'm sure your daughter knows how much you love her

    We are deeply saddened that we missed our SR's first call home this morning 0643-PST. Did anyone else receive one today? She did leave a 45-second voicemail for us and my daughter said she missed us several times while trying to hold back her tears. I'm not one for outward expressions of emotion, but I broke down in tears hearing how saddened she was. I had one job to do, and I failed her this morning. Probably when she needed it most. Even as I type this, I'm fighting back the swell of emotions.

    She did manage to say that she received only one letter so far, even though we've been sending a few each day since we received the first letter with her ship address and PIR dates, etc. So I wonder if the rest of her division is experiencing the same?
