Looking for anyone with a son or daughter ship and division. Missed my sons first call home on saturday, had to work that day. My wife was able to talk to him, i guess he was realy home sick.

Our family finally got letter from our boy 11/29, and i finaly got to talk to him today!! It was so good to hear from him. He sounded in better spirits, but he still sounded a little home sick. He said ship 14 div 53 was his brother ship. In his letter was an invitation for Crhistmas. I think my wife is going to be the one making the trip. I dont know if anyone else is going, but if you cant make it, I guess you can take one more recrute out.
Yes our daughter is ship 14 div 53, I also missed her phone call but my wife talked to her and I am hoping that she calls this Saturday. From what my wife said she sounded about the same as your son. I did this 30 years ago, I am sure things have changed since then, but I am sure they are all fine.
