We got a phone call from our recruit yesterday, got to talk with him for 40 minutes and 30 seconds to be exact! It was so great to hear his voice, he sounded sooo good! He said he's a section leader!! I'm not gonna lie, as soon as I heard his voice I started crying it was so nice to know that he was good and doing well. He's my best friend and I've missed being able to talk and joke with him. He said the food is good but it's kinda repeated over and over but he said "I EAT IT!". He also said they got to have steak on the Navy's birthday and that it was great to be able to eat a steak!! He told us to keep the letters and cards coming cause they are what gets him through the day. Said he will read them at night before he goes to bed. He told us the first week his division got into trouble with their RDC, Recruit Division Commander, cause some of the recruits didnt want to quit talking and the RDC PT'd them for an hour and fifteen minutes non stop. He said he was drenched in sweat and that he bets that wont happen again! He also said they got their dress blues and whites and their 'teacups', white hats.
Im so proud of him and cant wait to see him at PIR in November. GO NAVY!!!
Anyone else out there have an SR on Ship 14 Division 022?!
