Our son left this afternoon for boot camp. We are awaiting the I'm here call. He called us from airport a little while ago to tell us he had just got off plane. Based on another post he should PIR around Feb. 8th. How accurate is that?

congrats on your new SR and best of luck to him.
Thanks for that response. I'm not sure how the groups interact with others. Does that mean one group can cause issues for another group?

Did he say how the div was going? ie winning flags or awards or anything like that?
and I'm confident you are inviting the FB folks to join here as well
My son left on the 13th and got a letter stating his pir is the 8th of feb. He's on ship 13 div 100
WOW, You hit the nail on the head! Very well stated.

as a GUIDE you can roughly figure 8 Fridays after arrival.....wait for the form letter and pay attention to the DIV number then check this link: http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp
my son arrived in GL on 10-dec. it seem pretty safe for a 8-feb PIR, but perhaps we won't know for sure 'til the form letter arrives. here is a very informative link left to me by mikeA regarding december GL arrivals ...
