  • Congrats to all the men of 292 and their families.

  • I heard those travel stories on Thursday night - I am glad I got there when I did!  Kudos to the folks that drove all the way to Dallas to get their connecting flight.  I would have done the same thing, there was no way I was missing it.

  • Thanks Boss!  The event lived up to it's billing.  NSW Public Affairs couldn't have been more helpful or hospitable.  Adding to the excitement --for those of us attending from the east coast--was the challenge of flying out literally in the wake of hurricane Sandy.  Most all of us had to deal with flight cancellations, postponements and delays.  It seems we all made it one way or another.  My 87 year old father in law, a WWII Navy vet, was set to wait all night in Hartford Airport and fly out standby if necessary.  Luckily we found a flight for him. One couple drove 1,500 miles to Dallas from where they caught a flight.  Last Friday the grinder was filled with some truly grateful and relieved souls...and not just those being awarded a trident!

  • Congratulations to the families of class 292. A very proud day for everyone indeed! God's speed to your sons in this next chapter of their career.
  • Any ideas for graduation gifts?

  • Can anyone give an update on where 292 is right now in their training?  May be too specific...my son was a BUDs drop from 292.

  • Boss, a private group is a good thing to have since even some things not covered by OPSEC should be kept between us, but with that said OPSEC still will be enforced. Think about the fact the Bin Laden probably thought he was secure and the SEALs found him.

  • 292 Dads - anyone interested in starting a private group for 292 Dads?  I don't know how to do it, but was wondering what the interest might be.  As our son's continue along this path together, it would be nice to get to know the families of these fine young men.  Am I right in thinking that a private group is the way to go on sharing this information with each other?  As I read more and more about the SEALS - I can't help but think of the families these guys come from.  It is strange how we all are going through the same emotions, points of pride and down turns, etc at the same time, but yet all alone.  I don't even know another SEAL or a family past or present to compair notes with.  But I am certain there are other Dads on this message board that are going through the same things I am.  Any thoughts 292 Dads?
