H.G.R., sorry to hear about your son. I have heard similar stories before. Seems like MEPS should do a better job with their pre screening to avoid the same kind of disappointment your son is feeling now. I wish him good luck with whatever direction he chooses in the future.....
I got word from my son last week, that he will be medically discharged due to slight hearing loss in one of his ears. This news devastated him. He has trained for almost 2 years to be able to go into special forces. I don't understand why MEPS didn't disqualify him before he got to basic training. Anyway, I wish all the other Division 811 guys the best of luck and thanks for your service.
