Seal Prep duration

My son will have a bootcamp PIR 7/8.  He is then scheduled to G&G for Seal Prep. I understand he will stay at Prep until there are enough qualified candidates for a new BUD/S class. --sometime in either August or September seems like a reasonable guess.  Can anyone tell me if this is valid?  I've heard there are five or six BUD/S conducted annually so there should be one every couple of months or so.

How long and how short could his stay in Prep possibly take?  This is my first post and I really appreciate this forum. Thanks.

    my son is in class 290 and he staying in chicago about 8 weeks before shipping out to Coronodo.

    Hey Congratulations. My Boy is in 286 He was at Pre Buds for about a month and a half before heading out to Coronodo. I don't know that there is a standard, but rest assure it will fly by....All the best...

    I think they will wait on one more class a week, I am guessing tho but I think there is 16 and a 17  and no more until Aug from what I can piece together.. Rumor is about 4 months maybe ...If we friend request its a little more private as they has very strict rules about these DIV's

    I know there are guys still there from the new buds class who stayed behind in chic. There are lots of guys in the pipeline so sept , oct. Is more reasonable. As always it pays to be a winner.

    ReJim, there will probably be only about 2 or 3 Classes start in Coronado this year. The have stopped have the winter Classes. I will have to look back at some post on other sites to see the dates they have listed. Class 291 had to many to ship out and some stayed in Great Lakes and will join 292 when it is formed. 293 or 294 will probably be last for this year but as I say I will check and see if I can get more info.
