What is FMTB? What is FMFT? I think I know what FMF is. How long is HMs' A school and how long after that is their training at Pendleton? I guess I am looking for a timeline of sorts.
Thank You

When Ty left his intentions were to go FMF. Hopefully his A school will be in San Antonio (400mi for us vs 1500). Will the FMTB be in SA also or in California? I know at some point he goes to Pendleton to train with the Marines.
FMTB is Field Medical Training Battalion. It is the basic training for Corpsmen that choose go to the USMC side and be attached to a Marine unit. Could work in a "M*A*S*H" style hospital (thats what my son is doing in Afghanistan right now), be the "Doc" with a forward Marine unit right in the middle of things etc. FMF is Fleet Marine Force. That is what it is known as when they make that choice. Very prestigious when they earn their FMF pin. My boy is working on that right now.
A School is only about 3 months actually, and FMTB is about the same.
