My son was considered Grad N Go I found that by contacting the USO you can spend time with them at the air port. My son arrived at the air port on Sunday morning 14 hours before his flight.
When my son got to Charlton he didn't have class for the following week.
I believe it may have something to do with passing him on to the next command as soon as they can.
You can get the O Hare USO number off the web.
You have to have some information about your sailor and were he is going for them to help you.
Hi. My son just sent notice that he's GnG. He's Nuke also Div 157. Did he also leave very early the ne_t(sorry that key just broke!) day? We have to get him back by 20:00!
Hello. My son knew he was grad and go about 3 weeks ago. Atleast. From what I'm learning, if your recruit is in one of the first few divisions, there is a good chance they are grad n go. My son Mike is in the 3rd division in his graduating class. He and most of the other Nukes in his division are grad n go. I thought it had to do with when they classed up, but again, I learned from N4M that it has more to do with the airline tickets they have, and having to fill those seats.
When does your recruit graduate?
Check out Navy for Moms. There is A LOT of great information on that site.
