Son leaving for boot camp 2/16/11

Good afternoon everyone, My son leaves for boot camp on 2/16/11 and we live in Tallmadge Ohio and wondering if anyone leaves about the same time. First time on this site and alot of good information. Thanks JIM

    welcome to the world of "damn proud parents".your son is about to start the most exciting,different, and rewarding adventure.our son has been in 3yrs and 3 mnths,just applied for a 17 mnth extension. hes on the aircraft carrier EISENHOWER,been on 2 deployments to the PERSIAN GOLF area,and we are so proud of what he and the rest of our NAVY has done and will do.congratulations to your your son.

    Hi Jim , my son Jeffrey left for BC Jan 24 ,We lived in Tallmadge when he was born, shortly after we moved to south florida  but my wife's and my parents still live in rootstown and ravenna . Besides the call when he first got to BC , we are still waiting to hear from him . When i hear anything i will post info to help ya out ! Barry Horvath

    Jim,

    our son....hubby is also on this site.....is in Pensacola until he leaves for SERE in April.

    We live in Solon. Do you know what your son's rate will be? Lynch is AWV.

    Wanted to let anyone in our area know that we have a group of parents who meet for lunch, alternating points around Cleveland, Akron, Canton, Mentor, etc.... Our next lunch will be February 19. If anyone is interested, feel free to contact me here or at MrsStigg@att.net. We have just started a list of birthdays for our military kids and each month we are going to do a group box for whoever's birthday is next.
