Hello All. I've seen the warnings not to bring flowers or other large items to the PIR, as they will only be a hassle for the new sailor. Does anyone have suggestions of what would be a good and appropriate graduation gift, either for just after PIR or for later in the day during liberty?

Go to www.navyoutfitters.com they have very good Graduation gifts for your sailor and for all your family.
Plus, when you purchase from NavyOutfitters.com. You help to pay for this site and also you help the store too.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm sure our new Sailor will have some specific wishes too.
Well at NavyOutfitters.com you can find all sorts of gifts. Challenge coins, watches, hats and shirts.
But, you can get your PIR Support Ribbons for when you go to graduation and Meet and Greets. Also, you can buy a NAVY Blue candle to light when you are thinking of him/her. and to light when your SR is going through BattleStations.
G shock is cool. We got one for our sailor last month and he really was excited. There are a lot at different prices, models, 200m, men and women at Amazon, can I say that? You can also get the coins at the PIR. They like those.
Ours was a package deal.......participating in expense of photographs, copy of the PIR video, challenge coin, and a laptop. He was, of course, treated to a very, very good dinner, too!! Best wishes and congratulations to your Sailor and family.
G Shock watches seem to be the popular item.....
