    stayed at the great lakes Lodge for my sons PIR back in december. Great place,nice folks, Clsoe to base. Sarge runs shuttle there

    Great Lakes Navy Lodge does not need a sailor present for check in or reservations......you do need to let them know what division you sailor is in.

    I stayed at the Navy Lodge in Norfolk when my son had surgery. Your sailor is supposed to check you in but he was able to go there earlier and make arrangements for me. Very nice place, super nice staff!

    Stayed there back in November for my sons PIR. The rooms were good, the breakfast was good and the staff at the front desk was fantastic. Great directions and suggestions for places to eat. Can't beat the price.
