Our son was accepted and attended West Point for a short while. Didn't care for some of the "traditions" there, I guess. So, he came home and joined the Navy w/ his buddy. They both got the highest scores ever in this area of Colorado on the ASFAB(sp?). Now, 12 years later, he's on the Kentucky which is out right now, has tested for Chief and hoping to hear the results of that in a few weeks.
My Dad joined up just before WWII was done and did his four. I joined up during Viet Nam and did my four. Proud Navy family! Our oldest son was an Army officer and our daughter was in the Army, too. Freedom is NOT free!
