    If there is one thing I would not want is an 8-year old running around an active warship.  Tons of hazards on a carrier- a trip and a fall on a tie-down or pad-eye onto non-skid would not be pleasant for a kid or an adult......

    Thanks for the info... I'm getting conflicting results, as I've seen as young as 8. Just trying to confirm.

    general Navy guidelines: 

    Q.   Are there any age restrictions?

     

    A.  Tigers must be a minimum of 12 years old on the day of embarkation and no older than 75.
