I am a life long north of Boston resident. I am a truck driver and a big sports fan. I was a baseball coach for about 16 years, coaching my older son Scott and then Bobby, and hung up my whistle when Bobby joined the Navy. I am now a huge Navy fan and hope to get to know some other Navy dads.

sorry for delay in response- dealing with computer issues all day....do not think the Navy has set exact day for commissioning yet. Use the link Jim sent to contract others. They have an Ombudsman page on Facebook but not sure it's active: https://www.facebook.com/paulignatius.ombudsman.5
Bob, I found a link to your son's ship on FaceBook. You might be able to find out about the commissioning ceremony there.

Welcome aboard to NavyDads.com Bob! When my son first enlisted, I was a little scared and worried for him. Not coming from a military family at all, I had no idea what to expect. What I found, was that he had made the most mature decision of his life! I found lots of answers to my questions right here on NavyDads.com.
My son Stephen was an AWO2 in the P-3 community. However, after 6 years of service, he was medically discharged in July of 2014. We are so proud of our son and his service to our country, as you will also burst with pride of your child! This is the place to brag!
