Actually I don't have anyone in the Navy. But I BBQ we folks who volunteer to serve BBQ to the troops. We try and post pictures on our BBQ site when we do this and thought it would be great to let you Navy Dads know that your children may be in those photos eating some good ol American BBQ where ever they are. (We are an international membership site)

  • The USS Abraham Lincoln (carrier- CVN 72) is heading back to home port of Everett, WA this week after a seven-month deployment....if you get up to the Seattle/Everett area you should consider something for those folks that just returned.
  • David- Thanks for providing a little "down home" for our troops. My daugther just retured from seven months in the Persian and Oman Gulf and something like this would have done wonders for moral! Please convey my thanks as a Navy dad times 2 (daughter on the Abraham Lincoln and son on the Theodore Roosevelt) to those that go out of their way to BBQ for our troops!!
  • Thanks David we are very proud of the choice our children have made to protect this great country we live in. I'm glad you had the chance to feed our sons and daughters. We really appreciate it. Keep us posted on the messy faces you put on our military. lol We cannot thank you enough.
  • David welcome to navydads. It is a noble thing feeding BBQ to our troops. We would love to see some pics of our Sailors and Marines getting to have some good ol' fashion BBQ while on active duty. I thank people like yourself for caring about our children. We are very proud of them. Best of luck to you and feel free to drop us navydads some BBQ tips and trade secrets.
    Sincerely, EG
