  Elise, Welcome Aboard!
  
  When my son first enlisted in the Navy I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to his future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads but found out I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and hope this site will benefit Navy families that follow behind me.
  Also, I see you do web work for the Navy, hopefully my site does them justice. It's been a lot of hard work but my admins & I are dedicating to helping others that follow in our foot steps. I would love to know which sites you've worked on, I think their all great.
  
  Thank you for sharing your knowledge about the Navy with us. I'm sure it will greatly benefit our members here on Navy Dads. Also, thank you for joining us.

  Elise, Welcome to NAVYDADS and SEAL Dads (NSW) Group. When you have a chance be sure to read Posting on NSW Forums (this is a must read) or This is a must read before posting on the SEAL Dads (NSW) page. Everyone here is ready and willing to help answer any question you have regarding this long journey your Son or loved one is starting. Tell your Loved One that my Family and I appreciate his desire to join the Navy and we are Proud of his decision. He will be in our thoughts and we wish him the best.

  Elise if you don't mind my asking what exactly is it that you do with the navy? I know you said you do webwork for the Navy, I am just curious as to what that entails.

   I have a son in the Navy and another son that is fixing to leave for boot camp in July. I couldn't be more proud of my sons and their decisions to defend the freedoms of this country that we all enjoy.

  Elise, Welcome to NAVYDADS. My Grandson joined the Navy and went to Boot Camp in February, 2008. When I joined I knew nothing about the Military and this site has really helped me understand what to expect and has relieved some of the worries I had. Please go to the Groups Page and check out of the different Group and join in to learn more about what your Guy or Girl will be learning and doing. We are a big family here and you can find answers to most any question you may had regarding what is in store for your recruit. You will find others that are new to the Navy along with those that have Loved Ones that has been in for some time. We like to hear about your recruit the good times, the concerns and the question. I think you will find that our member are just a great big family and everyone wants to help others understand what to expect and hear how your recruit is doing.

  Welcome to NavyDads.com Elise! I'm sure you'll find NavyDads.com as useful, educational and informative as I have. Please explore the site and make some new Navy friends.  Be sure to read the discussions add your comments or start a new discussion.  Browse through the postings in the various groups or start a new one. I certainly have! If you have any comments, questions or concerns be sure to post them! In my experience someone here can answer your questions or concerns or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm blessed to have two sailors in the family - my son Eric (AM3) is stationed on the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat (MC3) recently completed her five-year enlistment on the carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Elise this is a great place to brag as well! So join in, get active, and be sure to let us know how you are doing! Please remember that we talk about the Navy here and we must keep the security and safety of our sailors and the fleet in mind at all times.
