I am a US Navy veteran. I served from 1977-1982. I was a DP, (Data Processor) a rate that no longer exists. Currently, I am a museum education professional working at Rutgers University. Grace is my middle child of 3, and my youngest child soon plans to join the US Air Force. My husband is retired from the Royal Air Force, so our children are keeping the military tradition alive.

I was very proud of her and excited for the possibilities that the Navy offers. The Navy was nothing but good to me.

    Welcome to NavyDads.com Lynda! I'm sure you'll find NavyDads.com as useful, educational and informative as I have. Please explore the site and make some new Navy friends. Be sure to read the discussions add your comments or start a new discussion. Browse through the postings in the various groups or start a new one. I certainly have! If you have any comments, questions or concerns about your sailor and what she is going through...be sure to post them! In my experience someone here can answer your questions or concerns or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm blessed to have two sailors in the family - my son Eric (AM3) is stationed on the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat (MC3) recently completed her five-year enlistment on the carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Lynda this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in, get active, and be sure to let us know how Grace is doing!
