    Mark, to my knowledge no one has started a Group on NavyDads for Class 287. There has been some talk on the SEAL Dads Group about them but that is all I have seen.

    I believe that is Class 285 if I am not mistaken. I have heard some that are going to visit. There will be a private party at the end and only the guys, Instructors and special guess will attend. No family or friends. Most of the time they will have a get-to-together later at a bar or someplace. Since this a time for the guys to remember and tell stories on each other and let of steam not many adults attend, they let the guy have a party. I know of one class that ask that the party also be private. They will party all weekend and some will plan a party of family member the next day after they wake up. You just have to check with your guy as to the plans and if he expect or really want family at all the events.

    Mark not sure what you are talking about that is going on at the end of March. Is something going on in Great Lakes or Coronado? My GS comes off deployment in about a month, he will need time to wind down and be with his wife before we try to see him.

    Your last name is listed and your sons first name is listed in your profile. If he is going into the Special Ops or SEAL Community this is not allow per Navy OPSEC. If he goes to BUDS training he Instructor will beat him and his class till things change. I can send you a file I received from the Navy if you want. This is something all social network adhere to. Everyone here is ready and willing to help answer any question you have regarding this long journey your Son or loved one is starting.     Mark, Welcome Aboard!

    When my son first enlisted in the Navy I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to his future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads but found out I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and hope this site will benefit fathers that follow behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your Sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Thank Brian for his service for me and thanks again for joining us

    Welcome to NavyDads.com Mark! I'm sure you'll find NavyDads.com as useful, educational and informative as I have. Please explore the site and make some new Navy friends. In my experience someone here can answer your questions or concerns or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm blessed to have two sailors in the family - my son Eric (AM3) is stationed on the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat (MC3) just completed her five-year enlistment on the carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Mark this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in, get active, and be sure to let us know how Brian is doing!
