  • Yes, we should make this site stand strong! I esp like our  group Navy Moms which makes you feel like family.   I as a Navy Vet and a parent of two boys who are Corpsmen prefer this site for I  can relate and it offers more of a technical perspective. Yet there are days I visit the N4Ms for my Mom fix. Wish we had the tech when we were in so my mom would had a better understand what was happening in my and my brothers life (We are both in the USN). He was on a ship and I was on an island having a great time. If she only knew...Now we as parents/grandparents/spousal units can truly have understanding what our love ones are living and experiencing.

  • Welcome Aboard!

  • Bravo Zulu for becoming the 4000th member.  Hope you will find the site informative and helpful as your family member progresses through the Navy.  My son has just re-enlisted for another 6 years going for 14.  Leaving his first shore duty and headed for the IKE after a short C school in P'cola.

  • Surprise!  Bet'cha didn't think it'd be this overwhelming!

  • Hola Mark! Welcome to NavyDads! And congratulations on becoming the 4,000th member of this great site. The other members were so helpful and supportive during the communication blackout days of RTC. There is everything here to help you deal with the new world which your family has entered. My son graduated boot camp January 21st, and every now and then he speaks to me in a language very foreign to me. so the Navy lingo link is just one of many helpful links! Hooyah!

  • Mark, congratulations on becoming our 4000th member. If I can help with any problem or concerns with finding info on NavyDays please let me know.
  • Mark, Welcome to NavyDads. My Grandson Joined the Navy and went to Boot Camp in February, 2008. When I joined I knew nothing about the Military and this site has really helped me understand what to expect and has relieved some of the worries I had. Please go to the Groups Page and check out all of the different Groups and join in to learn more about what you Guy or Gal will be learning and doing. We are a big family here and you can find answers to most any question or concern you may have regarding what is in store for you recruit. You will find others that are new to the Navy along with those that have Loved Ones that has been in for some time. We like to hear about you recruit the good times, the concerns and the questions. I think you will find that our member are just a great big family and everyone wants to help others understand what to expect and hear how your recruit is doing.

Please feel free to ask questions.

Again Welcome and keep us updated as to you recruit’s progress.

    HooYah US Navy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
