I've never served in the military(and really regret it), but my son enlisted with the Navy and is heading to boot camp 7/8/2010. I really want to know what he will be dealing with over the next few months.

What Were Your Feelings When Your Sailor Joined The Navy:

I am extremely proud of my son for choosing to join the Navy. He made this decision on his own and I support him 100%. I believe his decision to join the Navy will open doors for him that he would've never had in civilian life. I have only positive feelings about his choice. I'm also feeling a bit jealous that I didn't make the same choice when I was his age! Unfortunately it's too late for me so I'm going to stand behind him and support him in any and every way I can.
