I'm happily married and the dad of 1 son and 2 daughters. I have a 2-year old grandaughter that has brightened my life immensley. We live in the woods on a small farm in scenic Southern Illinois where we hunt and fish every chance we get. My son is the first in our immediate family to service his country, but his Grandpa served in the Navy and in the Coast Guard; his brother-in-law (my son-in-law) served with the Army Rangers based in Panama.

I was overwhelmed with pride and really felt fortunate to have a son that was proud of America enough to make the committment!

As a parent of a sailor currently or soon to be at Great Lakes you'll have many questions about what your son is going through. These videos will answer many of your questions and concerns and will give you a better understanding of how the United States Navy transforms our children into sailors!
