I hate to hear of your sons sickness and problems. I hope his health improves and he gets off to his next assignment in the Navy soon. Post this in a discussion for all members to see. I'm sure their are some members with similar issues and knowledge about this. We have many retired Navy, active Sailors, Recruiters, XO's, etc on the site. I'm sure if you post your questions someone can answer them or at least be able to give you some insight. Keep me posted on his progress and please use this site to your advantage. Keep asking your questions until they are all answered. Good or Bad.
Sorry to hear about your sons delay and illness, but I am afraid I can be of no help to you, I was discahrged from the Navy 55 years ago and it is a different world today. I would start with his recruiter, he may be able to either get some info or steer you in the right direction.
good luck, but stay calm, everything will turn out fine i am sure.

My son is an ABE aboard the USS Ronald Reagan in San Diego, Ca. and my family and I couldn't be prouder of him. When he first enlisted I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. I'm new at this and I hope this site will benefit fathers that come behind us. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your Sailor. I'm so glad to find out their are so many proud Navy Dads just like myself. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your sons journey in the Navy. Thank Nate for his service for me and thanks again for joining us.
Sincerely, EG
