  • I got a letter yesterday and he got advanced to E2 from boot, we are so proud of him and he is the Starboard watch of his division. I am sure you felt the same way when you got letter about what your daughter had accomplished and it makes you swell up with pride to hear your kids are doing so well. Congrats of being a grandparent. Kody asked that we size one of his mom's rings so I am sure he is going to ask his girlfriend to marry him. Just have to see, we love her too. I understand the heart ache of your child be so far away, he and I are very close especially after his mom passed so its been hard on dad but we will survive it. Be sure an add pics when your new g'baby arrives.
  • Congratulations on your daughter's safe return as I wish all of our kids do the same. He will be a gunner's mate and wants to be stationed in San Diego. We are so excited to go see him next week as we have only been able to talk to him once.
  • Welcome to NavyDads militarymom! I'm sure you'll find the site as fun and useful as I have. Explore and make some friends, add your comments to a discussion or two, read the postings in the various groups-- even start one or two. I have! If you have any questions or concerns about your sailor and what she is going through...ask! I'm sure someone here will have the answer or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm lucky enough to have two sailors- my son Eric just returned from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat returned last fall from a seven-month cruise on the carrier Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And militarymom this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in and let us know how Kristan is doing! And mom-- check out the Daughters and Their Dads group! Best Regards- Paul
  • He will be a GM and will start A school right after graduation the 24th. I am glad to hear she is doing well and continue her success. I will put all our kids in our prayers as you can never have enough of them. Kody lost his mom a couple years ago and she always told him that. What is her job? Is she thinking of a career or just 4yrs and out?
  • Just curious as to when your daughter shipped? I have a son at RTC now and is due to graduate the 24th. Let us know.

  • MilitaryMom, Welcome Aboard!

I'm so glad to have the Navy Moms on here to keep us men in line. My son is an ABE aboard the USS Ronald Reagan in San Diego, Ca. and my family and I couldn't be prouder of him. When he first enlisted I found NavyForMoms in searching for answers to my son's future. I just knew their had to be a site for dads like n4m's but I was wrong. So I started this site so us dads would also have a place to call home. We have many moms on the site and benefit greatly from their point of views and we are willing to help the moms in any way we can. So jump right in share concerns, join groups, share info, and show off your sailor. I hope this site benefits you and your family throughout your daughters journey in the Navy. Thank Kristan for her service for me and thanks again for joining us.

    Sincerely, EG
