Describe A Little About Yourself (your IP address/location will be checked::

I married my sailor's mother about 11 years ago.We have adopted 3 kids and have 2 foster kids now.We have had numerous other ones that came and went.I worked in a union grocery store for about 30 years and hurt my back and got full retirement and social secuirty on me and my kids.It is very hard to do foster care because you get attached to the kids very easily and the longer they stay the harder it is.We just stopped doing this a little while ago because of the way they treat you and we were not ready to adopt anymore kids.

What Were Your Feelings When Your Sailor Joined The Navy:

Happy to see him getting out of this area. There was a bad car accident and he had to watch his sister die and never really recovered from it.We went and saw him after boot camp and he seemed a lot happier being out of the area where the accident happened. It was the happiest I had seen him in a while.

In my experience someone here can answer your questions or concerns or can point you in the right direction to find out. I'm blessed to have two sailors in the family - my son Eric (AM3) is stationed on the carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and my daughter Kat (MC3) recently completed her five-year enlistment on the carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). And Michael this is a great place to brag about your sailor as well! So join in, get active, and be sure to let us know how Miguel is doing! Please remember that we talk about the Navy here and we must keep the security and safety of our sailors and the fleet in mind at all times.
