I saw a "Connie" in the back lot of the Museum in Pensacola NAS . Had some pictures but unfortunately it was on one of my computers that was bit by lightning . Still have the hard drive to see if I can rescue them.
See, there I go again, acting like I know something when I really don't. Cool picture Wayne. Learned something new. So many Navy missions and hardware. It's hard to believe some of the stuff the GREATEST Navy in the world is into...land, sea and space!
When he was stationed in Newfoundland he flew in a "Connie" ... And I can't remember what he flew in off the USS Wasp . At the time of picking up Gemini 7 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sYQwZjiD_bk
Actually, it sounds like Wayne's brother may have been on an E-2 Airborne Early Warning (AEW) aircraft. Those were the new Radar birds in the Navy in the 60's. The P-3 Orion is an Anti-Surface, Anti-Submarine plane.
"OLDEST brother!" Wayne, you're not making me feel any better ;-). I was there in '84. I went to AFTA as an AQ. The Navy doesn't even have the AQ rating anymore. What did your brother do in the Navy? When was he at NATTC?

Here you go. A US-3 cargo plane (on board the Carl Vinson CVN-70 - 1987). Looks COLD!
