It seems that the Submarine service has very limited availability to participate in the "Tiger Cruise" program. I just got lucky. My son invited me, along with 12 others, to join his Submarine for a 4 day cruise. I will not mention the "boats" name nor the dates of this cruise, until I return and then I will proudly share my "trip of a lifetime" with any and all interested parties.
It's a toss-up, as to the more excited person here, my son or me. He enlisted, directly from High School and has gone through the system for 14 years. He is now a LT. Cmdr. and the Weapons Officer on his "boat." This will be his first opportunity to finally share his "job," with anyone outside the Navy.
Bravo to the US Navy and this "Tiger Cruise" program. It's a great morale booster for everyone involved.
