I got my first letter from Sean about 2 weeks from the time he arrived in Great Lakes. First phone call was 3.5 weeks. It was really quick (so was the letter). I would bet you will hear from her anyday now. Hang in there I know it's tough.

My son left for RTC on Nov 3 as well. He called about 0200 the next morning telling us he made it there. On Thursday, we received the letter with details about his ship, division, etc. He's Ship 03, Div 042. Graduation is Jan 8.
My son Josh shipped out on the 3rd of November 2009 as well I recived his call and letter already and talk once by phone he seem happy by the tone of his voice We are proud of him

Hi MVB , Yes he is in Ship 04 Div 802 Do you know where yours is yet. I am sure they are in the same . There cannot be that many SO . What is your son ?

FYI Just start writing letters and once you get their address mail them out! Write one a day and it will really mean alot to them! or send a card each day with an inspirational quote from you or something that will motivate them in a positive way! Tell them each day you are proud of them, andit will mean alot to them!
I just got my first letter from my Son today. I had gotten the address from the recuriter yesterday and was gettting ready to send a letter today when his arrived. Made me feel so much better sounds like he is doing good and starting to like it.

My son left on Nov.9. I finally heard from him on the 10th around 8:30 pm. I was expecting a longer call, but this site warned me it would be short, and it was! I'm so very proud and at the same time miss him already. Waiting to hear when and where I can write to him and send him the phone cards he'll need to call home. Another thing I learned on this site but too late to send them with him.
