Thinking about Labor Day weekend. Soundside already booked.

He said it was really nice to get away and not have to be "on" all the time, he could just relax. He also could take naps, watch the idiot box and just hang out with us. For 8 bucks you get a pass for the whole week and the beaches were really clean, probably even cleaner now. Good places to eat all over the place, make sure you go to the Naval Air Museum on the base, we just had a blast down there. Keep me posted.

We stayed at a place called the Purple Parrot Resort, 10 minutes from the base, 2 minutes from the grocery store and the beach, 20 minutes from the airport, super clean, we got it for a week for about $500 but they also rent for shorter periods of time. Quite alright Tom, we had a really good time down there, where we stayed was right around the corner from a state/federal beach called Johnson Beach. For 8 bucks you get a pass for the whole week and the beaches were really clean, probably even cleaner now. We visited Pensacola Beach when our son was in A School. We stayed in a condo recommended on TripAdvisor.com and thought it was a fine place to stay. I can't remember the name of it but I'll try to find something to refresh my memory. TripAdvisor is usually right on with their reviews. We may be heading back down in October to help our son find a place to live before he reports for duty with the Blues. We'll be using TripAdvisor again to find a place. Pensacola Beach is a nice area; very enjoyable.
