BM3 Heather L Dovala born December 16th 1988 to Richard and the late Vicki E Dovala. She was raised in the New Paris area of Bedford County, and atteded the Chestnut Ridge School District. She played softball, soccer and played trumpet in the school band. She the bugler for the Fort Bedford Honor Guard. Heather was a altar server at St. Thomas Catholic Church for 8 years. She attended a business college and got a degree in Medical Office Administration.

Her Father, her recruiter, and her late uncle was very instrumental in helping her join the Navy. She graduated from Great Lakes on March 19th 2010 and went on to A school there. She is currently stationed in San Diego but she is on the DDG108 Wayne E Meyer in Hawaii. She got promoted to Petty Officer 3rd Class and is very excited to be serving her Country.

In February she will be going to Pascagoula Miss. to be on her ship, The William P Lawrence DDG 110 which should be commisioned some time in May. She also made sailor of the quarter late last year. We are all very proud of her and we know her mother is watching down on her.
