Biography

 

Colton Jones had his PIR from Boot Camp on March 14th, 2008. He then stayed at Great Lakes for "A" school as an Electricians Mate. "A" school ended in August of 2008. That same month, his orders sent him to the USS Carl Vinson. At that time the Carl Vinson was in dry dock for refueling until January 2010. After leaving dry dock for Colton's vey first under way. the Vinson was heading to her home port of San Diego, but was diverted to Haiti to help with the terrible earth quake damage.


Colton's service inspired his brother, Tucker, to also join the Navy. Colton was able to attend his brother's PIR in October of 2009. 


Colton's passion is for wrestling and took top honors in his home state of Oregon. His mother is Molly of "Molly's Adopt A Sailor."

  • Thank you all so much ------ gosh, this is great and it happenes to be his 21st b-day tomorrow and YES he is on the ship *out to sea* so my little heart hurts for him not to be able to celebrate the way *boys look forward to celebrating*
    Yet I know his shipmates will not forget to say happy birthday in their own way (OMG that could be rough ---you know how Snipes are)
