My son just reported to Submarine training, in Groton Conn. Anyone else have a family member going to school there?

Was there in 97 LOL I would think a lot has changed since then. I remeber it had a great golf course.

Yes he can. He will be required to wear a uniform while doing so for a while and he will not be allowed off base during the week for a while as well. The length of time will vary depending on his military bearing and if he succeeds on his PFA. He can give you more specific details when he gets there.

No, but I grew up there in 1963-66. Still stop by once a year- never forget it.

My son was there from Aug. 2009 taking up Sonar Tech. He should be graduating the last week in May. He hasn't had a bad word about the place so I guess all is good :)
