Finally received the form letter from my son. He's assigned with ship 02 division 922 after processing in on 2/14. Been looking for that letter for days! He spent 4 yrs in JROTC so has plenty marching experience.

Form letter came yesterday! Received his box about 4 days ago. I'm doing better than I thought I would be at this point. He's my youngest of 2 children, so wasn't sure how the empty nest thing would affect me. So far, so good. Want to hear from more

I feel pretty lucky to have already received the form letter and box o' stuff. He'll only be gone a week as of tomorrow. Really hopeful that this is indicative of how fast the next 8 weeks will go by!
