Class Up Update as of 5/24/10

Just some info I requested that I'm passing on. Since there were so many questions on how long it is taking to class up I ask for an update so I could post it for everyone. Here it is.

The current wait to get into ATT is 1-3 days. They do have to do all the check-in paperwork and attend base indoc prior though and I'm not sure how long that lasts. I can't see it lasting more than a week. Wait to get into 'A' school from ATT is about 3 weeks at the moment. There is no wait going back over to ATT and there never will be. Phase II ATT students are given priority and they are not to overloaded right now. As far as orders go. That's all up in the air right now. We are just now getting communications with the detailer back. We have received about 30 sets of orders in the last week but they are for specific classes or systems that are really hurting for people.

  • Welcome Neal,

ATT (apprentice technical training) takes place before A school classes and orders are received at the end of A school and sometimes well after graduation.  Many are anxious to see how the orders will flow in 2011.

My son is just about to start ATT Phase and I'm curious if C school orders are received after ATT Phase II or when an opening becomes available. I'm new to this so I am sorry if I am repeating a question.

    Thanks

  • And just to clarify on the wait time between 'A' School and 'C' School. The time varies greatly. It depends on when their orders say thay have to report. The orders we got in January had report dates in June. The orders we got last week also had report dates in June. It's a toss up really. I am thinking that with the flood in Millington, we will be seeing alot shorter wait times until the detailers get caught up.
  • This is going to be very helpful for all the new families at A school :-)
