This has been such an emotional weekend for all of us.
I'm so glad we were able to be here and experience it.
I'm ordering the DVD so my son can watch it later and I'm sure that I'll watch it a few times as well.

Can't wait to be at GL tomorrow morning. When I graduated from Army Boot/Ait in 1986, I don't remember this being such a big deal...Can't wait to watch my son Enter that building tomorrow...So proud!
Also received a letter. He told me they will be doing Battlestations over night XXXXXXX night and it will end at 0730 XXXXXXX morning. Sounded very positive and excited to almost be completed with basic. Keep your phones handy, calls should be coming soon.
Just got another letter today. My SR writes, he is ready for this last week. Also he can not wait to call me to say he is a US Navy sailor. I can't wait for that call either.
I really think he's serious Chris. We just received two letters today and my son had the same type of message. Could they be messing with us lol. It was good to get the letters and even better knowing his spirit is still high. Thanks guys for letting me know I'm not the only one not getting calls right now. I'm new to all this so I'm not really sure what to expect. This site has been extremely helpful!
got a letter today! He is very happy to be on the back half of bootcamp but says he kinda enjoys it. I'm not sure if he was being sarcastic or not. Hard to tell from a letter.
