Wanting to join.

I am 34 and want to join active duty. I started this process in December, passed my ASVAB and physical. Waiting on job listings now. Unfortunately not seeing consistency from my recuiter in regards to, yes there are openings, we're looking for openings and no there are no openings. A family member, that served 15 years, advised me to  speak with another recuiter, is this really advisable? Running short on time and I need a straight up answer.

Thanks for any advice.

  • hi David my son has 7 yrs in and he says he would talk to another recruiter

and don't give up ...you maybe a little older so just work a little harder

  • talk to another recruiter.....but be forewarned...there are virtually NO rates available thanks to cost cutting.  Naturally if your ASVAB is in the 90 + range it helps a lot....
