Battle Stations

Does anyone know how close to a division's projected PIR date they do Battle Stations? Just roughly ... a day or two before, or is it a week or more prior to PIR? News from Chicago has been so scarce (which I realize is usually a good thing!) that I'm getting more and more antsy to know what's going on as the weeks keep sliding by.

    Because it defines a specific location and a specific time where sailors will be......RTC dfeins that as a violation of OPSEC. They also are trying to get eveyone used to the concept of OPSEC.

    Just curious as to why Battlestations would be a secret? Isn't it ongoing?

    BS21 can typically start Sundays and run through Wednesdays before PIR, though that can vary a lot depending on the number of divisons
