Thanks for the responses....he actually called last night at 7 pm on the house phone....we were not home....I had told him to call my cell, probably was not thinking. Good to hear his voice.
Hang in there Bill, my son left Thurs 8/4, Iwe didnt get our quick call until Saturday night. He said phones were not working before. But ive talked to people whos sr arrived on 8/4 and they got the call that night. Who knows?

This was actually his 2nd call home. The 1st was the 15 sec call on Monday Aug 8th.. The one i got today was about 5 min or so and he was also able to call his Mom before me.
He was saying today was the 1st day that they actually get to start doing training.. He was looking forward to that.. Have a great day...
Good to hear it Bob! I understand they had to wait on other Sr's to join the division. But they are completing paperwork now. How long was the call? My "Dad I'm here" call lasted a whole 15 seconds! Lol
Hi Tom, Just got a call from my son Austin and his Ship is 12 and Div is 325..
Graduation is Sept 30th also..
