Writing to Son

My son, Nate made to boot camp 9/3/2011 in early am and called - now I've gotta wait for the first letter. In the mean time I'm already writing a letter to him. Does anyone know if I could send the letter in a 4-1/8 x 9-1/2 envelope or does it have to be in the small ones? I'd like to send him self-addressed and stamped envelopes for him to write home and they don't fit in the small ones very good. Any ideas !!!!

  • PIR will probably be 10/28/2011 for your recruits.

  • Hi Jimmy, haven't seen or heard anything yet - when I do I sure will post it. Our son's got a long road ahead of them, but god willing and encouragement from us, I know they can do it. Good luck to your son and you.

  • That should be fine Bill. Just letters and cards. No musical cards or nonsense items like that, and don't put his first name just SR Worby. They provide paper and envelopes but stamps are a big help.

  • Bill,

I sent the same size envelopes, 4 1/8 x 9 1/2 to my son with no issues.
