By "better", I mean one that is current and straight from the horse's mouth. The list Jaimers provided makes sense.

No problem. I like that site too. My guy is doing great! Hope yours is too.
rmnanonymous, Thanks for reminding me of the navyseals.com site. I join them in 2008 and have been back for a couple of years.
Hope your guy is doing good.
Have to say though that the list makes sense. See this site for more on the subject: http://www.navyseals.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152151
The guys pretty much know what they need from talking to people who have already been where they are going. Things like extra helmets for BUD/S, for example, so they don't end up having to clean and repaint their helmets every night for the next morning. They can buy 5 and do all the clean up on the weekend. They just need the money to buy those things. The NEX is "taken over" by new arrivals the first evening they are in Coronado. Basically it's the clerks and the deluge of new arrivals stocking up on equipment.
not sure. Jaimers just posted it. My son told me that desitin is not allowed, although he might have just told me that so I wouldn't send him any. He said they want the guys to use Vaseline instead. I think the guys get a better list from word of mouth. I included it for discussion's sake.
Is this stuff they know they must bring? or what?
