This is quite a trip. Some families may be starting a new road and to those... best wishes and we forever honor your sons! This rollcall is simply to check-in as a class. Where we are.

  • D says they absolutely have to follow the exact instructions about not getting sipe.  Something with they are told to breathe I guess. but if they are like our head strong son his response will be I Know!

  • Surf called again last night (1500 Pacific) and said he was waiting for ice cream to be delivered before crashing again.  Apparantly there were 7 or 8 brownshirts or rollbacks on each floor to keep an eye on the guys, and help them with whatever they needed. Room service in the barracks.  He said that he had been fighting SIPE all week, but it wasn't as bad as his episode in week 1. Apparantly alot of the guys had it to some degree - coughing up blood, etc.  They have Medical check today, and this coming week appantly will be geared to allow them to continue healing. It is incredible that these guys are able to endure the Hell they go thru in  pursuit of the dreams or goals.  HooYah to the bunch of them!!

  • Got the phone call last night (24:30 eastern time). Very beaten up and a few broken ribs but he said memories of family and friends is what kept him going. These guys have been to hell and back but this week is going to be just as hard trying to heal. Praying that all the guys have a speedy recovery. Hooyah class 293!
  • Russell Hooyah!! Yes, he will be out of it for awhile.  The brownshirts help keep an eye on them. Once he falls asleep he may have forgotten he even called you.  Our son fell asleep out side in just shorts a brownshirt from his week brought him a pillow and thru some blankets on him. Its cool to watch the bonding and care they give to each other.

  • Surf made it. Beaten, but not broken. He said it was tougher than anything he could have imagined, but after the first day, said that there was no way he wasn't going to finish. Sounds like they finished about 10:30-11 Pacific time. Showered, sat in a chair for a bit, then at the recommendation of the instructors, was on the floor with his mattress - foot end up on a locker or something. He said he would call later - maybe tomorrow when he can think.

    HooYah 293
