  • You will not need to get him a personal (blue) passport.  If he needs one he will get a government (brown) passport through the navy.

  • My son was deployed last September to the Middle East and did not have to get a passport

  • Will my son need a passport before he leaves on deployment?

  • Navy Federal does not charge for use of ATM's in their network.  if you click on the link to the website it will explain everything.www.NavyFederal.org.  I also use USAA and thy are great as well.  Hope this helps.

  • My son will be underway at somepoint soon. What are some good choices for items and moral boosters, that a sailor would be happy to recieve? Thanks

  • James, please be sure to follow all OPSEC rules on this Group. It would be very easy for someone to post info that should not be posted and if we let it stay on the page the Navy would be very upset with NavyDad. Please go back and reread the OPSEC rules and monitor this site very closely. As Admins of the site we will also be checking this Group for OPSEC. Depending on what we see we will contact you or make a copy of the post and delete it on the spot.

Deployment questions

Hello all, New to group, and I have so many questions!  I'm wondering about the best way to ask my questions. I'm assuming it would be here in discussions. Should I ask questions individually, with a new discussion for each one, or all together?  I am new to all of this!    Thank you for any and all guidance!
